Here are my annual Big Ten bowl games predictions:
Minnesota over Syracuse
Michigan over Kansas State
Georgia over Nebraska
Wisconsin over South Carolina
LSU over Iowa
Stanford over MSU
Ohio State over Clemson
Total record 4-3   Most likely victory: OSU over a overrated Clemson team that should not have gotten a BCS bid over Oregon.  Most likely loss:  a mediocre Nebraska (how did they beat Michigan?) losing to a Georgia team that should have beaten Auburn.

Looks like I have the Big Ten also going 4-3.

  2. I can see KS beating M, S. Carolina beating Wisconsin and MSU over Stanford. All those are toss ups and I could have easily pick them as you did. I also did not want to jinx you but I guess you can jinx yourself!

But I think you are crazy picking Nebraska. Nebraska should have lost to M, PSU and NW. Georgia would have beaten Auburn, the team in the championship game, if not for a freak play. Georgia beat LSU which you pick to beat Iowa which clobbered Nebraska. To me this is the easiest pick of the 7. I think Georgia is 3 touchdowns better than Nebraska if they both play their best. I think the only way Nebraska wins is if they get plus three or more in turnovers as I believe each turnover is worth a touchdown. I think that will be the only way you would be correct on this one.

I was hesitant to pick Nebraska, but I do think it's a good team. They lost their QB early in the season and I think the one stepping into the job will do well with the extra practice time.

I don't believe in using common opponents as a barometer on how they will do. Plus I am still not convinced that the SEC is that great. So I am taking a gamble and playing a hunch that Nebraska will surprise many, including you.

I am also hoping that Pelini is fighting for his job, so maybe Nebraska will take this game more seriously than Georgia.
